Car service in Lancaster: what to settle early
A good ride in a city this spread out comes down to a few details settled early. Here are the ones we ask about most.
Choose the pickup spot carefully
Lancaster has big shopping centers, long residential streets and rural parcels where the house number sits far from the road. Tell us the exact entrance, the gate code if there is one, and a cell number for the person being picked up. It saves the chauffeur circling a parking lot.
Plan around the 14
Southbound traffic on the Antelope Valley Freeway builds in the morning as people head for the San Fernando Valley, and it reverses in the evening. We set the departure time around that pattern instead of around the clock alone.
Heat, wind and poppy season
Summer afternoons out here run hot, and spring winds can kick up dust across the flat stretches. Our cars are climate controlled, and in poppy season we leave extra time for the roads west of town.
Evenings downtown
The BLVD is the center of the arts and dining scene, with the Lancaster Performing Arts Center a few blocks from the Museum of Art and History. For a show, book a pickup after the final curtain so the car is waiting when the doors open.
Flights and private aircraft
For airline travel we use Burbank and LAX. If you fly privately from Fox Field in Lancaster or from Van Nuys, tell us which one and we will plan the meeting point with you.
Car seats and extra luggage
Child seats are available on request. Mention the ages and the number of bags and we match the car to the group. A sedan suits one to three riders with modest bags, while an SUV is the better call for families, golf clubs or a full set of suitcases.
