Riding around El Monte with a driver
El Monte is compact, but its edges stay busy. These are the things we think about before a car leaves the garage.
Where the 10 meets the 605
The interchange carries a heavy load for much of the day. We check conditions before we roll, then choose between the freeway and a surface street like Garvey Avenue or Valley Boulevard, whichever is clearly moving better that hour.
Flair Park and the office district
The offices along Flair Drive see visitors all day, so we agree on a lobby or entrance when you book. If your building has a preferred drop-off door, tell us and the driver will be waiting there.
The bus depot and the Metrolink station
The transit center fills up at commute hours. If you’re meeting a train or a coach, give us the arrival time and we’ll pick a pickup spot that keeps you out of the crowd.
Family outings to Whittier Narrows
The recreation area on Santa Anita Avenue suits a weekend with children. One SUV carries six people plus picnic gear and strollers, and a child seat is available if you ask when you book.
Early starts and late returns
Plenty of El Monte trips begin before sunrise, when commuters and airport travelers share the on-ramps, or end after midnight, when a long evening in Pasadena or downtown finally wraps up. The line is staffed around the clock, so a 4 a.m. pickup is booked the same way as a noon one. Give us the time you need to be somewhere and we’ll work backward from it.
Groups arriving from out of town
Visitors rarely know which freeway is the right one. If you’re hosting relatives or colleagues, send us their flight details and your address, and the driver will bring them in, handle the luggage and wait for your signal at the door.
Flying private from San Gabriel Valley Airport
The county-owned airport at 4233 Santa Anita Avenue, formerly El Monte Airport (EMT), handles general aviation. If your aircraft is parked there, send us the operator and your expected landing time and we’ll meet you at the ramp gate.
