Getting around Santa Clarita with a driver
The valley rewards a little planning. Here is how we think about it when you call.
Which way out of the valley
Nearly every trip leaves by I-5 or SR-14, which meet near the Newhall Pass. Southbound I-5 heads toward Burbank, the Valley and Los Angeles. SR-14 climbs north toward Palmdale and Lancaster. SR-126 runs west from Valencia toward Ventura County. We pick the approach based on where you are going and when.
Airports, in plain terms
Hollywood Burbank is the airport most people mean when they ask for the closest one, roughly 20 to 25 road miles down I-5. Van Nuys is about the same distance for private flights. LAX is a longer run, about 40 road miles, and we plan more cushion for it.
Rush hours that matter
The southbound morning crawl and the northbound evening one are the ones to respect. If you have a 7 a.m. flight, tell us early and we will set the pickup well ahead of the traffic.
Pickups in gated communities
Many Valencia and Stevenson Ranch streets sit behind gates. Give us the gate code or your host’s name when you book, and your driver will not be circling the block.
Events and venues
Weekends fill the calendar with weddings at the Hyatt Regency Valencia, shows and street fairs in Old Town Newhall, and school events at College of the Canyons and CalArts. Parking gets tight at all of them. Your driver drops you at the door and returns when you call.
Day and night
The valley is quiet after dark, and a ride home from Old Town Newhall or a Valencia dinner is easier when it is already arranged. For a longer evening, see our limo service in Santa Clarita page.
