Hourly car service in San Diego, three ways to plan a day
A driver by the hour makes the most sense in a city where the places you want to see are far apart. These are the plans our San Diego guests ask about most.
A day around Balboa Park and Old Town
Balboa Park holds museums such as the San Diego Museum of Art and the San Diego Natural History Museum, and Old Town makes a separate stop. Spend the morning inside the park, have lunch, and let the chauffeur move you to the next stop without a parking search.
The coast, from Point Loma to La Jolla
Point Loma, Liberty Station, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach and La Jolla all sit on the western edge of the city. A chauffeur lets you stop where you like and carry on without losing time in a parking lot. If golf is on the plan, Torrey Pines Golf Course, owned and operated by the City of San Diego, is in La Jolla at 11480 N Torrey Pines Rd.
Downtown, the bay and a ballgame
Start with the USS Midway Museum on the Embarcadero, walk to the Gaslamp Quarter for lunch, and finish near Petco Park. The stops are close together, so a single chauffeur and one booking keep the whole day simple.
Mission Valley and the north side
If your plans take you through Mission Valley, Interstate 8 runs along the south side of the valley, and State Route 163 connects it to downtown. A hotel in Hillcrest or a shopping stop at Westfield UTC fits easily into a day that loops through the middle of the city. We lay the route out with you before the first pickup.
Planning the hours
When you call, give us the first pickup time, the stops in order and the last drop-off. We agree on the length of the booking and the fixed price then. If you expect the day to run long, say so at the start so the plan covers it.
Booking from out of town
We have no San Diego office. Our base is in Woodland Hills, about 146 road miles north, so every hourly booking in the city is made ahead of time and arranged for your date.
