Airport car service in San Diego, made easy
San Diego International Airport sits on the bay, close to downtown, which makes most rides short. The details that matter are about which terminal, which curb and which neighborhood you start in. Here is what we ask when you book.
Terminal 1 or Terminal 2
The airport has two terminals. Terminal 2 is a short distance past Terminal 1 along the airport roadway. Share your airline when you book and, if you already know it, the terminal, so the drop-off point is clear.
Downtown, Little Italy and the Embarcadero
From hotels near the Convention Center or along the waterfront, the airport is a short ride north and west. Most of the planning here is the hotel entrance and the time you want to be at the curb.
Point Loma, Ocean Beach and Liberty Station
These neighborhoods are on the way to the airport from the west side. A pickup from a home in Point Loma is quick, and we still agree on a time that suits your check-in.
La Jolla, Carmel Valley and the north
The trip down from La Jolla or Carmel Valley covers more ground. Torrey Pines Mesa is a common starting point for conference visitors, so we plan extra margin and set the price before you leave.
Carlsbad and private flights
McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad is roughly 35 road miles from San Diego International. Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport, a general aviation field in Kearny Mesa at 3750 John J. Montgomery Drive, is in the city. If you fly privately, send the operator name and we plan the meeting point with them.
Kids, clubs and cases
Ask for a child seat when you book and it is in the car. Golf bags, strollers and extra cases are fine too. List them in advance so we choose a sedan or an SUV that fits the load, which matters for visitors flying in with clubs for Torrey Pines.
