Planning an hourly day in San Clemente
The best hourly bookings start with a short list. A few details are enough for us to plan with you.
List the stops in order
Write the places you expect to visit, from first to last. It does not need to be perfect, because plans change, but it helps us size the booking.
Name the pickup and the finish
Many people start and end at the same address. Others start at a hotel and finish at the train station. Tell us which, and we plan around it.
Think about the pace
A shopping morning, a long lunch and a stop at Casa Romantica take longer than they look on a map. Add buffer if the group includes children or older relatives.
Luggage and gear
Beach chairs, strollers and shopping bags fill a trunk quickly. If your group is large or you are carrying gear, ask for the SUV, which seats up to six passengers with luggage.
Beach days
San Clemente State Beach is off the Avenida Calafia exit of the I-5. Trestles is reached from the I-5 at Cristianitos Road. Tell us which one you want and we plan the stops around it.
Mixed groups
Families often include a mix of ages, from toddlers to grandparents. Tell us who is riding so we can suggest the sedan or the SUV, and let us know if you want a child seat.
Changing plans
Weather can change a beach plan. Tell us if you want the beach stop early or late in the day, and we set the order of stops around it.
Keep a margin
If you have a reservation, a ticketed event or a flight, tell us the fixed time. We plan the hours around that anchor.
Evenings
If your day ends at an event, share the venue and the time you want to leave, such as the Ole Hanson Beach Club or Casa Romantica.
