Planning an hourly day in La Mesa
An hourly booking gives you one vehicle and one chauffeur for a stretch of time, with stops you choose. La Mesa suits it because so much sits within a short distance of everything else. Here is how we help plan the day.
Start with the stops
List every address you expect to visit, in rough order. We check the sequence with you, suggest changes if one stop is out of the way and confirm the booking in writing.
A Village morning
La Mesa Village is a good place to start: coffee, a walk along La Mesa Boulevard and City Hall at 8130 Allison Avenue for anyone with an errand there. On Fridays the boulevard between 4th Street and Palm Avenue is closed to cars for the farmers market, so we pick a nearby street for the car.
Midday at Grossmont Center
Grossmont Center, at 5500 Grossmont Center Drive, is an outdoor shopping and dining center that remained open during its renovation. It is a natural lunch or shopping stop, and your chauffeur can carry on to the next address when you are ready.
A hospital day
Sharp Grossmont Hospital sits at 5555 Grossmont Center Drive. If you are supporting a relative through a day of appointments, an hourly car means you do not have to arrange a new ride at every step. Tell us the entrance you want.
Up to Mt. Helix Park
The park at 4901 Mt. Helix Drive has a La Mesa address and is rented for weddings. A wedding party can book the car for the morning, the ceremony and the trip on to the reception.
An evening out
Dinner in the Village can be the last leg of a longer day. Tell us when you expect to finish, and we write the return address into the plan so the final ride home is already set.
Visiting family
If relatives are in town, an hourly SUV lets everyone move together between a hotel, a meal and a sightseeing stop. Send the party size and the addresses, and we recommend a vehicle.
Children and gear
Mention strollers, bags and the ages of any children, and we add a child seat to the booking.
