Getting to the airport from La Mesa
Getting from La Mesa to a terminal is mostly a matter of choosing the airport and settling on the pickup time with us. This is how we work through it.
San Diego International
San Diego International Airport (SAN) is the airport La Mesa travelers ask about most. Route sites put the road distance at roughly 13 to 15 miles, depending on where in La Mesa you begin. Tell us the airline and the flight time, and we agree on the pickup time when you book.
Leaving from the Village
On Fridays the La Mesa Village Association closes La Mesa Boulevard between 4th Street and Palm Avenue for the farmers market in the afternoon and evening. If you leave from a Village address on a Friday, give us a nearby side street so the pickup is clear.
Leaving from the hospital area
Visitors and staff at Sharp Grossmont Hospital, 5555 Grossmont Center Drive, sometimes head straight to a flight after a long stay. Name the entrance and who will meet the car.
Gillespie Field
Gillespie Field is a county-owned public airport in the northwest corner of El Cajon, and the county lists flight schools, aircraft rental and fuel services there. If you are flying privately, send us the operator and the aircraft details when you book.
Flights beyond San Diego
Airports in the Los Angeles area are a long trip from East County. We are based in Woodland Hills, so we treat those as planned bookings and give you the fixed price in advance.
Coming home
For a pickup at SAN, share the airline, the flight time and the address you are going to. If a guest is arriving, send their name so whoever greets them knows which car to look for.
