Planning an airport ride from La Verne
A good airport ride starts a day earlier, with a few answers. These are the ones we ask for.
Which airport?
For most trips the answer is Ontario. If your airline flies out of LAX only, say so, and we plan the longer drive from the start.
Freeways to Ontario
From La Verne the usual way out is the 210 Foothill Freeway, with Foothill Boulevard as the surface route beside it. Which one we use depends on the hour and on what traffic is doing.
Morning departures
Early flights leave before the commute builds, but the roads fill sooner than people expect. We choose a pickup time that leaves room.
Evening arrivals
Land late and you still have a ride. Share the flight number when you book, and the pickup is arranged around your arrival.
Bags and car seats
Tell us about golf clubs, strollers or oversized cases. An SUV usually handles them, and a child seat is available on request.
Pilots and private flights
Brackett Field is in La Verne itself, and we are happy to collect you from the county airport or take you there.
Choosing between sedan and SUV
Two travelers with carry-ons fit a sedan easily. Add golf clubs, a stroller or a family of five and an SUV is the better choice, since it seats six with their luggage.
Rush hour
Weekday mornings and late afternoons are the slowest times on the freeways into the Inland Empire and toward LAX. Share your departure time and we work backward to a pickup that leaves a cushion.
Check-in time
Arriving early is cheaper than arriving late. Tell us when you want to be at the terminal, and we plan from there.
