Getting around South Pasadena with a chauffeur
A few local details make a ride here go smoothly. This is what we think about when we plan one.
Mission Street and the Metro station
Mission Street is where many evenings start. The A Line station sits at Mission Street and Meridian Avenue, and Fair Oaks Pharmacy & Soda Fountain has stood at 1526 Mission Street since 1915. A drop-off at the door beats circling for a space, and you can arrange the ride home before you go out.
The Thursday market
A farmers’ market has run on Thursday evenings since 1999, one stop south of Pasadena on the A Line. If you are meeting friends there and heading on to dinner, tell us the plan and we set the pickup around it.
Parks and golf
Garfield Park at 1000 Park Avenue hosts community events, and Arroyo Seco Golf Course at 1055 Lohman Lane sits in the arroyo below the 110 freeway. Both are easy to reach, and both are the kind of stop where a driver beats a parking search.
Reaching the freeway
The Arroyo Seco Parkway, also called the Pasadena Freeway, has ramps at Orange Grove Avenue and Fair Oaks Avenue. It runs toward downtown Los Angeles one way and ends in Pasadena the other. We plan the route for the time of day when you book.
Hillside addresses
Raymond Hill to the north and Monterey Hills to the southwest sit above the flatter parts of town. Give us the exact address and mention any gate or access detail when you book, so the chauffeur goes straight to the right door.
