Planning corporate transportation in Claremont
A trip for a group goes better when the organizer sends the right details at the start. This is what we need and why.
Names, numbers and times
For each traveler, we ask for a name, a contact number and the pickup time. If the plan has a few moving parts, a short list is enough.
Arrival airports
Most visitors fly into Ontario International, about 9 to 10 road miles from Claremont. Others come from LAX, roughly 45 to 48 road miles away, and we plan a longer start for those trips.
Campus and hotel logistics
The Claremont Colleges share a compact footprint, with Pomona, Scripps, Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, Claremont Graduate University and Keck Graduate Institute side by side. A building name tells us which entrance to use. Hotel Casa 425 sits in the Village, which also has restaurants for dinners that need an easy walk-in.
Group size and vehicles
Sedans for individuals, SUVs for up to six passengers with bags. If a group is larger, call and we divide it across vehicles on the same schedule.
Changes along the way
Meetings overrun and flights shift. The organizer calls 747-309-0639 and we update the plan with the affected travelers.
Time zones and early arrivals
Visitors from out of state often land early after a red-eye or late after a connection. Because we track each flight, a shifted arrival moves the pickup with it and the organizer does not need to rebuild the schedule by hand.
Lead time
For a group, the sooner we hear about it the better. More notice gives us more room to plan the cars, though a call at any hour is welcome and we confirm what is possible.
