Getting around Imperial County with a chauffeur
The valley is simple to read on a map and still rewards some planning. These are the points we go through with you before a booking is confirmed.
The roads that matter
I-8, State Route 78, State Route 86 and State Route 111 all cross the Imperial Valley. SR 111 is the north-south spine that connects Calexico and El Centro, and I-8 carries traffic west toward San Diego and east toward Yuma. Tell us your stops and we choose the sensible route.
Two airports with different jobs
Imperial County Airport (IPL) is at 1099 Airport Road in Imperial and is used mostly for general aviation, with scheduled passenger service from one commercial airline. Calexico International (CXL) is a city-owned public-use airport about a mile west of central Calexico. Check your ticket or charter paperwork, then tell us which one applies.
Flights beyond the valley
Travelers who fly out of San Diego, Los Angeles or farther often start in Imperial County. The drive to San Diego International runs roughly 115 road miles from El Centro. Those are long rides by booking, and we agree the timing and the fixed price in advance.
Fair season in Imperial
The IV Fairgrounds at 200 East 2nd Street in Imperial host the California Mid-Winter Fair and Fiesta, the county’s largest annual event. Event days concentrate traffic around one site, so we set a drop-off point ahead of time.
Desert recreation trips
The Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area is reached along Highway 78 east of Brawley or along I-8 west of Yuma, according to the Bureau of Land Management. Tell us about gear and the size of your group so we send the right vehicle.
Groups, children and extra cars
One SUV carries up to six guests with their bags. A larger party needs several cars, and we can schedule them to travel together. Mention child seats and mobility needs when you book.
Border area note
Our rides are within the United States. We do not offer border-crossing service, so plan your own crossing arrangements separately if your trip involves Mexico.
Seasons and timing
The valley has distinct busy periods: fair season in Imperial, school and holiday travel, and the weeks when visiting teams arrive for agricultural and energy work. Reserve early for those dates, since a booked car is easier to plan than a last-minute request.
What to have ready
The pickup address, the destination, the date and time, the number of passengers and any luggage or gear. Add flight details if an airport is involved. With that we can reply quickly with a vehicle and a fixed price.
Paying attention to distance
Because towns are spread out, we quote the trip as planned and confirm the route with you. If a stop is added, call us and we update the plan.
