Getting around San Dimas by car
San Dimas is a spread-out foothill city, and a few local details shape how a ride goes. These are the ones worth knowing before you book.
Evenings downtown
Bonita Avenue is the heart of the old downtown. Tell us the restaurant or the event, and we drop you close to the door instead of leaving you to find a space.
Up toward Via Verde
The Via Verde area is home to the country club, and it sits near Bonelli Regional Park. A ride up there from downtown is short, but give us the full street address, since the roads curve through the hills.
Park and water park days
Bonelli Regional Park is a 1,800 acre county park with a 250 acre lake, and Raging Waters is next to it. LA County lists its regional parks as closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the water park runs a seasonal calendar, so check both before you plan the day.
The 57 and the 210
The 57 and the 210 meet near San Dimas, and the 210 has an exit at San Dimas Avenue. Those two freeways carry most of the trips out of town, which is why we plan around commute hours.
Arriving by rail
The Metro A Line added a San Dimas Station in 2025, when service opened on the Glendora to Pomona stretch. If you come in by train and want a car for the rest of the trip, name the station as your pickup.
Airports
Ontario International is about 14 to 19 road miles away, and LAX is roughly 41 to 42. Our airport car service in San Dimas page covers the choices.
