Getting around Pomona by car
Pomona is easy to reach and easy to get stuck in once traffic turns. Here’s how we plan rides around town.
Downtown and the Arts Colony
The streets around the Fox Theater and the Arts Colony fill up on show nights. We choose a drop-off close to the door and tell you where your driver will wait afterward, so you aren’t scanning a crowded curb for a car.
Fairplex and fair season
Fairplex hosts the L.A. County Fair and expos throughout the year, and the Sheraton Fairplex sits right on the grounds on McKinley Avenue. Gate traffic backs up on big days, so we plan the approach and the exit before the car leaves.
Cal Poly Pomona and Kellogg West
Graduation weekends and conferences bring guests who don’t know the roads. We can meet them at Ontario and take them straight to campus, no navigation app required.
Historic neighborhoods
Lincoln Park and Ganesha have older, narrower streets, and the Phillips Mansion on West Pomona Boulevard opens for occasional tours and events. Tell us the exact address and we’ll check where a car can stop.
Phillips Ranch and the south side
Phillips Ranch sits against the 71 on the edge of Chino Hills. From there, the 71 reaches the 60 and the 10 quickly, which makes early Ontario runs simple.
