Airport car service in Santa Barbara County: how to plan it
A good airport ride starts with a few answers from you. Here’s what we ask, and what it changes.
Match the airport to the ticket
Check your confirmation for the airport code and the airline. SBA and SMX are different airports with different airlines, and they’re a long drive apart. If you’re unsure which one your fare uses, look before you book the car.
Leave room for the roads
Highway 154 is a mountain road with curves and climbs, and US-101 along the coast carries commuters and visitors at once. We build in more room than a flat route would need, especially for morning departures.
Arrivals
Give us the airline and flight number. We follow the arrival, and we agree on where the chauffeur will meet you before the day, so nobody is hunting for each other at the curb.
Early and late flights
The first departure of the morning means a pickup well before sunrise. We take bookings at any hour, so a 5 a.m. ride is arranged like any other.
Bags, golf clubs and wine
A tasting weekend often means a few cases going home. Tell us what’s coming, and we’ll send an SUV with room for it. One SUV carries up to six people with luggage.
Groups arriving together
Wedding parties and family groups often land on different flights. Send every flight number, and we plan cars to meet each arrival, or hold a group together when the flights are close in time. Tell us who needs extra help with steps or luggage.
Weather and busy weekends
Rain, fog or a packed summer weekend can slow the roads. We watch conditions on the day, and if something changes we contact you to adjust the pickup. The price stays what we agreed.
Flying into one airport and out of another
Wine trips sometimes end at a different airport than they began. We can plan the trip as a one-way booking between the two.
