Airport car service in Monrovia: planning the trip
Most airport problems are decided before the car leaves. Here is how we plan a ride from Monrovia.
Choosing between BUR, ONT and LAX
Burbank is the shortest ride of the three. Ontario is farther east and suits airlines that fly from there. LAX is the longest of the three. If more than one airport works for your trip, ask us how the timing compares.
Early flights from the foothills
A morning departure from North Monrovia or Old Town means a pickup well before dawn. Give us your departure time and we pick the start time with the airport in mind. Our line runs around the clock at 747-309-0639.
Leaving margin for traffic
The 210 and the roads around each airport move at different speeds depending on the day and the hour. We leave a sensible cushion, tell you the pickup time, and you decide whether you want to leave earlier. Nobody should be watching the clock at the curb.
Hotel guests on Huntington Drive
The Courtyard Los Angeles Pasadena/Monrovia is at 700 W. Huntington Dr, and a DoubleTree by Hilton operates in Monrovia as well. If you are checking out and heading for a flight, send us the hotel name and the time. The car meets you where you specify.
Business travelers on Shamrock Avenue
Visitors to Trader Joe’s headquarters at 800 S. Shamrock Ave often land at Burbank or LAX and need a ride to the door. Book the return trip at the same time so both legs are set.
Door-to-door on the return
Coming home to Monrovia late at night is a different kind of tired. A car booked for your arrival means one less decision after a long flight, and it works the same whether you live near Library Park or up by the canyon.
Bags, groups and child seats
The SUV carries up to six passengers with luggage. A couple with two suitcases fits the sedan. Tell us about strollers or a child seat and we put it on the reservation.
Road miles we checked
Rome2Rio puts Burbank at 22.8 road miles, Ontario at 27.4 and LAX at 31.6. Uber lists about 22 miles to Burbank and about 30 to Ontario. We round to roughly 23, 28 and 32 on this page.
