Getting around Oxnard with a chauffeur
Oxnard is wide, and where you start decides how the day goes. These notes come from the way riders usually plan here.
The harbor and the beaches
Channel Islands Harbor sits on the coast with Fisherman’s Wharf, the Channel Islands Maritime Museum and a marina where boat trips to Channel Islands National Park operate. Nearby are Hollywood Beach, Oxnard Shores and the Mandalay Bay and Seabridge communities. Tell us the exact dock, hotel or house so the chauffeur goes straight to the right gate.
Downtown
Downtown Oxnard holds Heritage Square, the Carnegie Art Museum and the Oxnard Performing Arts Center. For an evening show we plan the pickup and return together so you are not hunting for a ride after the lights come up.
Highway 1 and US 101
US 101 serves the city, and Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) comes in toward Rice Avenue to meet it. Most longer trips begin on one of the two. We choose the route on the day, with the traffic in mind.
Flights and the train
Oxnard Airport, at West Fifth Street and Ventura Road, handles general aviation. For scheduled flights, the road distances are about 55 miles to Burbank, 65 to LAX and 45 to 50 to Santa Barbara. The Oxnard station at 201 E. Fourth Street is served by Amtrak and Metrolink.
Weddings and celebrations
Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach is a beachfront resort that hosts weddings. We can take the couple, the families and the guests who are staying elsewhere. Our limo service in Oxnard page explains how we handle those evenings with sedans and SUVs.
