Getting around Fullerton by car
Fullerton is compact on a map and varied on the ground. These are the places that shape most rides.
Downtown and the train station
The historic district around Santa Fe Avenue holds restaurants, clubs and small shops, and the Fullerton Transportation Center sits right in it. Tell us which train or which restaurant you are heading for and we plan the pickup around that door. The old Fox Fullerton Theatre stands downtown too, still under restoration. Evening pickups downtown are common, so booking ahead for a Friday or Saturday night takes the guesswork out of getting home.
Campus days
Cal State Fullerton has the Arboretum, a 26-acre garden on the campus, and the Fullerton Marriott on Nutwood Avenue. Move-in weekends, graduations and campus tours bring visitors who do not know where to be dropped. Give us the building or the hotel and the hour, and we confirm the drop-off spot when you book. Luggage, boxes and garment bags ride easily in an SUV.
Hillcrest Park and the hills
Hillcrest Park is a Depression-era park with stone stairways and a lookout, and it is a common stop for photos and family gatherings. Sunny Hills and Raymond Hills sit higher up, with winding residential streets. We plan extra room into the schedule for pickups on those streets.
Museums and the Muckenthaler
The Fullerton Museum Center on North Pomona Avenue and the Muckenthaler Cultural Center host exhibitions, concerts and weddings. Guests arriving in evening clothes tend to prefer a drop-off right at the entrance instead of a parking walk.
Hospital visits
Providence St. Jude Medical Center is on East Valencia Mesa Drive. We take patients and visitors there by booking, any hour of the day.
Weddings and garden days
Both the Arboretum and the Muckenthaler Mansion host weddings, and the Muckenthaler is known for its Italian Garden and the Adella Lawn. Couples and guests often arrive in several cars from different hotels. We can line up more than one vehicle, so ask when you book.
Children and extra gear
Child seats are available on request, so tell us the ages when you book. Strollers, graduation gifts and campus-move boxes are fine, and an SUV gives you the room.
