Planning an airport ride in Riverside County
The county is big enough that the same flight can mean very different mornings. Start with where you are.
Desert cities and Palm Springs
Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Palm Desert, Indio and La Quinta all feed PSP. The airport is small, which helps, but season and event weekends fill the roads. Coachella and the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells Tennis Garden both put a lot of rented cars and rideshares on the same roads, so we plan the pickup point with you ahead of time.
Western cities and Ontario
Ontario International is the working airport for many Riverside, Corona and Eastvale travelers. Its own directions use Interstate 10 and the Archibald Avenue exit. We choose between the 60, the 91 and the 15 on the day, based on traffic and not habit.
Temecula, Murrieta and the south
Southwest county travelers often compare Ontario, San Diego and LAX. Ask us what fits your airline and your departure time. We don’t push one airport over another. A flight that leaves late in the day opens up more choices than one at dawn, and we’ll talk it through with you. The cheapest ticket is not always the easiest morning.
General aviation fields
Riverside County runs French Valley, Hemet-Ryan, Jacqueline Cochran Regional, Blythe and Chiriaco Summit airports. Bermuda Dunes Airport, in the desert, is a privately owned public-use field. If you fly private, give us the field and the operator, and we’ll confirm the pickup details with you. We do not promise access to a ramp or hangar we have not arranged, so we check the details first.
Early flights and long distances
A 6 a.m. departure from the desert means a very early pickup, and a late arrival at Palm Springs means a late night for the chauffeur too. That is fine. Tell us the real times and we plan the whole trip around them, including a return booked for a different day. We confirm the details of any odd-hour pickup when you book.
Bags, seats and timing
An SUV takes up to six with luggage. Mention golf clubs, skis or extra cases when you book. Child seats are available if you ask.
