Getting to John Wayne
John Wayne Airport is about 10 miles from the city, the closest of the three according to Surf City USA. It is a smaller airport than LAX, which suits travelers who prefer a shorter start. We still plan the departure around your check-in and security needs.
Long Beach as the alternative
Long Beach Airport is about 15 miles away and has fewer airlines and nonstop destinations than the big hubs. If your route flies from there, the ride is simple.
LAX and the long start
LAX is about 35 miles from Huntington Beach, and drivers usually head north on Beach Boulevard to the I-405. We add margin for traffic and for international check-in when that applies.
Hotel departures
If you are staying at one of the resorts on Pacific Coast Highway, tell us the lobby and checkout time. Two large properties, the Waterfront Beach Resort and the Hyatt Regency, sit a short distance apart on the highway.
