Getting around Palm Springs with a private driver
Palm Springs covers a little under 95 square miles of land, though most visitors stay within a handful of streets. These notes cover the places our riders mention most.
Downtown and Palm Canyon Drive
Palm Canyon Drive is the main street for shops, galleries and restaurants. Give us the name of the restaurant or the cross street, and we plan the drop-off and the spot where we meet you afterward. Sidewalks here fill up with strollers, shoppers and diners, so a clear meeting point is worth settling before you leave.
The Uptown Design District
Uptown runs along North Palm Canyon Drive between Alejo Road and Vista Chino, and it is known for midcentury furniture, vintage boutiques and galleries. It is an easy place to lose an afternoon, which is where an hourly booking helps.
Movie Colony, Old Las Palmas and Vista Las Palmas
These residential neighborhoods sit close to downtown and are known for midcentury and Spanish-style homes. Tell us the street address and any gate or entry details when you book, plus the number of passengers and bags so we match the vehicle to the group.
The convention center and hotels
The Palm Springs Convention Center is at 277 N. Avenida Caballeros. Hotels in town range from Ace Hotel on East Palm Canyon Drive to Colony Palms on Indian Canyon Drive, and we pick up at the lobby, the porte-cochere or wherever the property prefers.
The tramway and the museums
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is at One Tram Way, and the Palm Springs Art Museum is at 101 Museum Drive. Send us the venue and your timing, and we plan the ride around your tickets or your table.
