Getting around Cathedral City with a private driver
Cathedral City covers about 22 square miles of land, so where you start changes the plan. Here is how we think about each part of town.
Downtown and the arts district
The Community Amphitheater, Town Square Park and the Festival Lawn sit close together downtown, beside the Civic Center. On event days, give us the venue name and we agree on a drop-off and a pickup spot with you before the evening starts.
The Cove
Cathedral City Cove lies south of East Palm Canyon Drive, against the San Jacinto Mountains, and began as an artists’ colony. Its streets climb and bend, so we ask for the full street address and any gate or parking detail when you book.
Panorama and the neighborhoods north of the strip
Panorama is known for the holiday lights that neighbors put up on Minerva Road each year. Around the season, ask us about timing, because sightseeing traffic can slow the street.
Golf communities
Cathedral Canyon Country Club and Desert Princess Country Club are both golf communities in Cathedral City. Gated entries need a name or a code at the gatehouse, so send us those details ahead.
Sports weekends
Big League Dreams Sports Park and Dennis Keat Soccer Park draw teams and families for tournament days. If a group is split between cars, tell us how many people and how much gear, and we plan the number of vehicles.
East Palm Canyon Drive
This is the shopping and dining corridor, with Target and Trader Joe’s among the retailers, and the Agua Caliente casino at 68960 E Palm Canyon Drive. A pickup here is easy to place on a map.
