Getting around Hemet with a private driver
Hemet is spread across the valley floor, so where you start shapes the plan. Here is how we think about the main parts of town.
Downtown and Florida Avenue
Florida Avenue, which carries State Route 74 through the city, is the main east-west street. The Hemet Museum sits on it at West Florida Avenue, and Sanderson Avenue crosses it near the Hemet Valley Center. Give us the business name or the cross street and we plan the approach.
Seven Hills
Seven Hills is a 55-plus community with its own golf club. Gated or private entrances are worth mentioning when you book, so we know which gate to use for the pickup.
The foothills and the Ramona Bowl
The Ramona Bowl Amphitheatre has hosted the Ramona Pageant since 1923 and also holds concerts. It is a short way out of town on its own road, so we plan arrival and pickup times with you before an evening event.
Diamond Valley Lake and the Western Science Center
These two sit on the south side of town. The lake offers hiking, boating and fishing, and the museum next to it shows fossils from the valley, including a Pacific Mastodon.
Hemet-Ryan Airport
Hemet-Ryan Airport is a general aviation field in Riverside County’s San Jacinto Valley. It does not handle airline flights, so airline travelers from Hemet head to Ontario or Palm Springs instead.
Toward Idyllwild
State Route 74 climbs out of Hemet toward Idyllwild. Mountain-bound trips can include a stop along the way if you tell us when you book.
