Getting around Poway with a chauffeur
Poway is a city of long, gentle roads and hillside streets, so the first question for any ride is which part of town you mean. Here is what we keep in mind when we plan a pickup.
Poway Road and Old Poway
Poway Road grew up as a car-oriented thoroughfare, and the city has a plan to make it more walkable over the coming years. Old Poway sits around the historic core, and the colorful row of buildings on Midland Road is Old Poway Village. Give us the business name or the side street for a pickup there.
Old Poway Park
The park at 14134 Midland Road has the Poway Midland Railroad, and on Saturday mornings it hosts the farmers market. That is a busy time around the village, so tell us which entrance you will use.
Espola Road and the performing arts center
The Poway Center for the Performing Arts is at 15498 Espola Road. Send us the show time and where your group will meet, and we plan the ride around it.
Lake Poway and the east side
Lake Poway is at 14644 Lake Poway Road and the park opens daily at 6:00 a.m. Hikers heading to Iron Mountain or Blue Sky Reserve on the eastern edge of town can ask about hourly car service in Poway for a day with several stops.
Evenings in Old Poway Village
The village on Midland Road has places to eat and drink, including Smoking J’s BBQ, Hop Stop for local beer and Uvas Winery for California wine, and the Hamburger Factory sits inside the park. If your group plans to enjoy a drink, a chauffeur means nobody has to drive home. Tell us the name of the spot and when you expect to leave.
Toward the airport
Rideshare and transfer sites describe the road to San Diego International as roughly 23 to 27 miles, usually along SR-56 and I-15. Our airport car service page covers how we plan those trips.
Children and luggage
Ask for a child seat and tell us the ages when you call. Up to six people with bags fit in one luxury SUV, so a family or a small group rides together.
