Getting around El Cajon with a chauffeur
El Cajon sits in a valley, so most trips begin by deciding which side of town you are on. A car service in El Cajon works best when the pickup point is exact, and these notes are what we check when we plan one.
Interstate 8 and SR 125
Local neighborhood guides describe Interstate 8 running along the northwestern edge of Granite Hills and the southeastern edge of Fletcher Hills. SR 125 also reaches the city, with an exit at Navajo Road. Tell us which freeway you expect to use, or just give the address, and we fit the route to it.
Downtown and The Magnolia
The Magnolia, formerly the East County Performing Arts Center, is at 210 E Main St, between Magnolia Avenue and Avocado Avenue. Name the side street or the business where your group will meet, because Main Street can be crowded on show nights.
Parkway Plaza and Fletcher Parkway
Parkway Plaza is at 415 Fletcher Parkway, at the Interstate 8 and SR 67 interchange. It is a large mall with several entrances, so pick the entrance for the pickup and we write it into the booking.
Sycuan and the Dehesa Valley
Sycuan Casino Resort is at 5469 Casino Way, in the Dehesa Valley on the eastern side of El Cajon. A guest heading there from a hotel across town needs a different plan than one starting nearby, so send the starting address.
Cuyamaca College
Cuyamaca College is at 900 Rancho San Diego Parkway. Campus rides usually involve a specific building or lot, and we note it when you book.
Gillespie Field
The county-run general aviation field in the city’s northwest corner is Gillespie Field, 1960 Joe Crosson Drive. For a private flight there, send us the operator and the aircraft details, and we plan the pickup around them.
Children and luggage
Child seats are available on request, so say how many and how old when you call. A family with bags can fit in one SUV, which takes up to six passengers with luggage.
