Getting around Santee with a chauffeur
Santee sits on the San Diego River in East County, and most trips here begin with a question about where in town you are starting. These are the notes we use when we plan a pickup.
SR 52, SR 125 and the trip west
Local guides describe SR 52 as the road that connects Santee to the 5 and 805 freeways, and SR 125 as the link toward Interstate 8. When you tell us where you are going, we fit the route to the plan instead of guessing at it.
Santee Lakes
Santee Lakes Regional Park and Campground covers 190 acres with fishing, camping, bird watching and picnic areas. If your group is heading to the lakes for a day, give us the entrance you want and the number of people.
Town Center
Town Center Community Park is a 55-acre park east of Cuyamaca Street along the San Diego River, and the trolley station sits in the same part of town. Because it is a busy corner, name a street or a business for the pickup.
Carlton Hills and Carlton Oaks
Carlton Oaks Golf Club, at 9200 Inwood Drive, has a Pete Dye designed course and a lodge. Guests heading to a wedding or event there can ride together in one SUV, so nobody hunts for parking.
Sky Ranch and the hills
Sky Ranch is a master-planned community in the southeast corner of the city, up toward the Cuyamaca foothills. A pickup there starts higher and farther out than one in Town Center, which is worth mentioning at booking.
Mission Trails and the west side
Mission Trails Regional Park is a San Diego park that borders Santee on the west, and its visitor center is open daily from 9am to 5pm. For a group heading there, tell us the trailhead or the visitor center and the time you want to arrive.
Children and luggage
A child seat is available when you ask, so give us the ages when you call. One luxury SUV carries up to six passengers with their bags.
