Getting around Escondido with a chauffeur
Escondido is spread across hills and valleys, so where you start matters. This is how we think about the main parts of town when we plan a ride.
Downtown and Grand Avenue
Old Escondido Historic Downtown is centered on Grand Avenue, with the California Center for the Arts at 340 N Escondido Blvd and Grape Day Park near Valley Parkway and Broadway. Tell us which entrance or street corner works for the pickup and we plan the approach.
Stone Brewing and Kit Carson Park
Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens is a well-known stop, and Queen Califia’s Magical Circle sits in Kit Carson Park, reached from the Via Rancho Parkway exit off the I-15. A group can ride to both in one SUV and be dropped at the entrance each time.
San Pasqual Valley
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is at 15500 San Pasqual Valley Road, and Orfila Vineyards and Winery is in the same valley. Visitors who want wine and animals in one day often choose a driver so no one has to watch the road after a tasting.
Hills and trails
Daley Ranch and Dixon Lake lie in the northeast part of the city. Felicita County Park, at 742 Clarence Lane in the southwest, is full of old oak trees. We can drop off at a trailhead or a park entrance, whichever you choose when you book.
Evenings out
Concerts and shows at the California Center for the Arts, dinners downtown and a night at the brewery all end with the same question about getting home. Booking a return ride in advance means the chauffeur is ready when you are, and nobody has to settle on who stays sober.
Rail and shopping
The SPRINTER train connects Escondido with Oceanside, Vista and San Marcos along the Highway 78 corridor, and North County Mall is a major shopping center off East Via Rancho Parkway. A private car covers the gaps that a train line does not reach.
