Getting around Brea with a driver
Brea sits in the north end of Orange County, next to Fullerton, La Habra and Yorba Linda, with Carbon Canyon and the hills close behind. Some local knowledge saves time on the way to a pickup, so here is what we keep in mind.
The 57, Imperial and Carbon Canyon
The 57 freeway serves the city, and Imperial Highway (SR 90) crosses the commercial core. State Route 142 begins in Brea and climbs into Carbon Canyon. Tell us which of these you expect to use and we plan the route around it when you book.
Downtown Brea
The Downtown Brea district centers on Brea Boulevard and Birch Street, with restaurants, shops, theaters and the Brea Improv comedy club. Give us the side street or entrance you want and we put it on the booking.
The Civic and Cultural Center
The Brea Gallery at 1 Civic Center Circle and the Curtis Theatre share the Civic and Cultural Center. Evening performances mean several pickups at once, so tell us the show time and where your group will gather.
Brea Mall and the hotel next door
Brea Mall is at 1065 Brea Mall. Embassy Suites by Hilton Brea North Orange County is at 900 East Birch Street, beside the mall. Visitors who stay there often book a ride out and back, so mention the lobby or the mall entrance you prefer.
Olinda and the canyon
The Olinda Oil Museum & Trail and Carbon Canyon Regional Park are up in the canyon end of town. These are outdoor stops, so tell us the gate or parking area and the number in your group.
Early starts and late returns
Because we answer the phone 24/7, a pickup before sunrise or after a late show is an ordinary booking. We agree the time with you at booking, then it is written into the plan. Commute traffic can shape the start time, so we often suggest leaving a little earlier.
Children and extra bags
Child seats are available on request, so tell us the ages. Our largest vehicle is the SUV, which fits six riders with their luggage, so a family with strollers still travels together.
